Pastor Peter Janetzki

We would like to acknowledge Pastor Peter Janetzki's service to the Lutheran Church of Australia and Lutheran Education throughout Australia. We wish him and his wife Julie every blessing in their retirement.

 

Pastor Peter commenced his service in Lutheran education in 2001 when he was appointed as Pastor at Living Waters Lutheran College, Warnbro.  In 2006 Pastor Peter moved to Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Noosaville. In 2016 Pastor Peter moved to Good News Lutheran College continuing to serve as Pastor.

 

Pastor Peter’s clear, analytical and strategic thinking, as well as his courage and determination, saw each school in which he served develop a strong culture of mission and service.  His ability to communicate well, ensured parents, staff and students all clearly understood the Christian values and messages of Lutheran education.  Pastor Peter’s own commitment to his Christian faith and his ability to show this through his daily relationships, has been a shining example to many people. 

 

His interpersonal skills with students, parents and the wider community was apparent every day.  His natural ability to treat students fairly and with justice is to be admired.

 

Pastor Peter’s faithful and conscientious service to his Lord and the Lutheran Church of Australia, through his service in Lutheran education, has been outstanding and is humbly recognised through the LEA Service Award.

Julie Janetzki

Julie commenced her service in Lutheran education in 1982 when she was appointed as a Teacher at Murtoa Lutheran School. In 1983 Julie moved to St John’s Lutheran School in Highgate and in 1998 to Lutheran School Wagga Wagga. In 2000 Julie moved to Living Waters Lutheran College, Warnbro and in 2006 to Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Noosaville. Her final school was Good News Lutheran College, Tarneit where she began in 2016 and continued in her role as a teacher until 2021.

 

Julie has always been a dedicated and flexible teacher, working alongside other staff to teach and support in many ways.  She has adapted to new places and programmes, with the focus being on the learning of her students. Julie’s professional and friendly manner has been appreciated by the many staff she has encountered and students she has worked with.
