International Students

What a start to Term 4! Johnny and Many moved back to mainstream classes, Alan joined us in the PLC and Andy, Jenny and Yuan work with us for reading and writing. So far this term we have learnt about identifying details in text, descriptive words, fruit / vegetables, money and full / empty.

We have also been learning how to write a procedural text. We started with How to Make a Jam Sandwich – yum! Over the next couple of weeks, we will look at how to make jelly, paper planes and then create our own procedure.

Playing monopoly is always an exciting way to finish our unit on money. We have some very enthusiastic property developers in our mix, as well as some big savers!!

To practise our descriptive language skills we have been playing Guess Who? Be careful if any of the PLC students challenge you to a game – they are getting very good at picking up on your body language to help them narrow down the choices!

We have loved our first STOMP lessons and can’t wait for the concert in early December.

Term 4 is always a busy one, so make sure you check notices and the calendar regularly!
