Physical Education- Year 1/2

By the end of term 2 students will be able to demonstrate fundamental movement skills in different movement situations and test alternatives to solve movement challenges.

During Term 2, students in year 1 and 2 will begin to develop competence through regular practice in a wide variety of fundamental movement skills and demonstrate creative thinking when linking them together in order to perform simple movement sequences. This term our focus will be on European Handball and Soft Cross.

During these years, competitive games are eventually introduced in the form of a modified game. In the lead up to these modified games, students will concentrate on movement, accuracy and making space. Throughout each lesson we are continuing to emphasise the idea of sportsmanship and respect for team-mates and opponents.
