SEQTA Teach, Learn and Engage

If you have previously used SEQTA please ignore the details below. However, if you are having troubles with logging in please contact our IT Support team at help@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au

New families please read through details below:

Our Teacher/Family system is called SEQTA and contains three core parts; SEQTA Teach, SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage.

  • SEQTA Teach, includes curriculum planning, mapping, assessment and reporting, pastoral care and analytics and is used by the staff.
  • SEQTA Learn, is the student online environment. This environment is accessible on any device over the internet and at school. Thereby giving students access to everything they need to learn more effectively, and tools that allow them to stretch themselves, be more interactive with what they are learning and achieve better outcomes.
  • SEQTA Engage, is the online environment for parents/guardians so you can access up-to-date information quickly and easily about the school and your child/rens learning.

We have implemented SEQTA Teach, Learn and Engage in stages over the last two years. SEQTA Teach has pastoral, attendance and assessment and reporting functions for staff and now supports continuous online reporting to parents.

All new families would have received an email this afternoon from noreply@seqta.com.au with the subject title "Welcome to SEQTA Engage". Please ensure to check your junk email folder if it does not appear in your inbox. This email contains the link that will enable you to set up your SEQTA Engage account. Please click on this link as soon as you get the email and follow the instructions provided. If you have difficulties or do not receive the email contact our IT Support team on help@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au

We look forward to providing families with the features and functionality of SEQTA Teach, Learn and Engage.

Primary Car Parking and bike racks

In 2019, the parking along Kirchhofer St will remain as the bus drop off and pick-up zone. When entering the Primary parking area, please be mindful of the pedestrian crossing and observe the signs to ensure that traffic flows in one direction when exiting the car park.

Please be mindful when parking that you enter the parking bay nose first (please do not reverse your car into a parking bay as this can often take up two car spaces).

Students are also reminded to use the footpaths provided of a morning and afternoon, they are not to walk across the car parking area.

Bike racks are also available for our students. If entering from Boyes Road the racks behind the Year 5 classrooms should be used. If entering from Brick Alley, the bike racks at the Southern end of the school should be used by students of all ages.

We appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Canteen

Years K-4

K-4 students can have a lunch order only. Student orders will be delivered to the classroom at the beginning of lunch. Students are not permitted to attend the canteen during the day to purchase items over the counter.

The canteen offers an online ordering service for School families. You may register at https://quickcliq.com.au/

Alternatively, students / parents need to complete their lunch order on a brown paper bag with payment and deposit it in the canteen bag in their classroom each morning before 9:10 am.

Years 5 -12

The canteen offers an online ordering service for School families. You may register at https://quickcliq.com.au/.

Alternatively, students will need to drop their orders to the canteen in a paper bag with payment and their full name, class and order written on it prior to school commencing. Collection of lunch order will then be available from the small side window at lunchtime. Recess and lunchtime snacks can be purchased over the counter.

Please note the Canteen will be closed on Wednesday 30 January and will re-open Thursday 31 January.

Anaphylaxis Strategy

All children with a known allergy or anaphylaxis require a health care plan including an anaphylaxis plan.

Nut Minimisation Strategy - The School is unable to guarantee a nut free environment. However, it will endeavour to reduce the risk of exposure to nuts by:

  • Requiring the School Canteen to ensure meals produced on site are nut free. Packaged foods may contain nuts, so children need to check labels and avoid such products
  • Requiring the Food Technology staff to ensure a nut free food preparation area for use by students with nut allergies and to provide a nut free food technology program for the student
  • Ensuring all staff involved in the direct care of students are trained in the use of epi-pens
  • Requesting that all parents avoid sending food to school which contain nuts
  • Insisting on any foods brought for sharing (birthday cakes) are only provided after the prior agreement of the class teacher and are sent in with a list of ingredients showing the items are nut free and were prepared in a nut free environment (ie adequate precautions were taken to avoid contamination – benches washed down, etc).

For more information, refer to Anaphylaxis & Severe Allergic Reactions Guidelines for Schools – Second Edition 2006 as provided by AIS NSW. This guide can be located on the AIS Website www.aisnsw.edu.au

Buses and Transport

Bus travel is optional and eligibility for free bus travel is based on the student residential address. Our students may access Moama Anglican Grammar via Echuca Moama Transit (for Echuca and Moama Township residents), Transport for NSW (NSW rural residents) and the Victorian School Bus Program (for districts outside of Echuca). Our Bus Supervision Duty teacher will assist students at the end of each school day.

2019 PTV Student ID and VSP applications

Applications for Echuca Township residents for 2019 PTV School Student ID and Student Passes will be generated here at the school and processed at Bendigo PTV Hub (we are waiting for a document to be provided from PTV to complete these applications). When the applications are ready, families will be emailed requesting 2 hardcopy identical colour passport style photographs of each child.  Photos must include head and shoulders. School photos are perfect or photos taken using a smartphone against a white background may be used. Make sure they're colour, in focus and identical.

In the meantime, if your child has their 2018 pass they should continue to use it until their 2019 passes arrive.   Thank you to Echuca Moama Transit operators who are allowing our students to access the town service to and from school without charging fares while this is being resolved.

Bus enquiries should be directed to Mrs Lou Kennaugh at the School Office. Click here for more information.

Year 7 Parent / Student Information Session

Last week our Year 7 2019 families were emailed a reminder about our Year 7 2019 Parent / Student Information Session on Wednesday 30 January from 3:00 – 4:30 pm at the conclusion of Year 7 first day of Term 1 2019.

This important information session is intended for Year 7 2019 students and parents / guardians and provides an opportunity to meet the staff who will guide your child through their primary to secondary transition and beyond.

It includes vital information about Year 7 camp (12 -15 March), general daily organisation, pastoral care, SEQTA access and other communication between home and school at Moama Anglican Grammar.

Please refer to the email sent last week if required.

K-6 Information Evening

The Kindergarten – Year 6 Information Evening (Meet the Teacher) will be held on Thursday 31 January.

The evening will commence in the Multi-Purpose Hall at 7:00pm. From there you will go to your child’s classroom. This is a great opportunity for your child’s teacher to inform you about the exciting year ahead and to meet other parents.

We see this as a valuable evening at the start of the school year that helps to develop positive relationships between home and school.

At the conclusion of the evening a light supper will be provided in the Multi-Purpose Hall, giving you the opportunity to meet other families from the Primary School.

The information sessions are purely aimed at parents/guardians, it is not compulsory for the students to attend. However, they are welcome to attend and will be supervised within the Primary playground.

We look forward to seeing you there.
