SEAL PROGRAM

Year 9 students

Last Friday 17 February,  five Year 9 ALP students were invited by The Academy of Accredited SEAL Schools (TAASS) to join teachers and other SEAL students from around the state to spend a day at Melbourne University.

Students had the opportunity to engage in learning activities including sustainability and Engineering.  They were also involved in a tour of the magnificent grounds and buildings.

This was a fabulous opportunity for our students to gain a 'taster' of university life and its possibilities as articulated by the students themselves:

‘The trip was enjoyable. My favourite part was the tour of the huge place.’  - Keahley

‘I loved Melbourne University and enjoyed touring around the giant place.’  - Gabby

‘The excursion to Melbourne University was a new and inviting experience that was an introduction to what life is like at Uni and the different experiences you encounter. I found the day inspiring and enjoyable, even if there were a few hiccups along the way!’ - Hannah

‘The experience to Melbourne University was a great chance to learn about the different courses and fields you can go into. This chance to go there would help me with my future.’  - Ben

‘It was a fun day, going in on the train with my mates. And the Melbourne University tour and guide were awesome!’  - Sam
