MATHS

Year 7 Maths
This week Ms Hoysted kindly allowed us into her classroom to see what her Year 7 Maths students (7.50) were up to.
The students were partaking in the topic of 'Number' and looking at the concepts of adding and subtracting positive and negative Integers for their Common Assessment Task (CAT).
“The CAT is Protons and Antiprotons. We have been adding them together like 9A + 4P and you pair them up and you get the leftover of 5A” – Lachie Kost
“I’m doing a number line. You start at 0 and then move right for plus and left for minus and see where you end up. That is the answer” – Olivia Edwards
“In the number line you look at the equation and draw in the numbers on the line” – Josh Oultram
