Year 9 Captains
Transitions into a new year can be tough, but this year's new Middle School students have shifted well into Year 9.
At the start of the new year, all students in Year 9 had to adjust to new electives, teachers and friends. Everybody is enjoying the experience of new subjects and electives.
All year 9 students took part in a Code of Conduct session where we learnt about the expectations, rules and responsibilities of being a Year 9 student.
On Wednesday 15 February parents and students had the opportunity to listen to and find out information about the year ahead of us and the expectations of all Year 9 students.
So far, everybody has been enjoying the year and have transitioned into middle school well.
Good luck for the rest of the term!

These sessions outlined the school rules, student rights and responsibilities, expectations of students and strategies and techniques that will best enable students to perform at a high level.

Student Absences
Student absences should be entered on Compass by parents/guardians OR by calling the school Absence Line - 9735 5644.
It is DEECD (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development) policy that all student absences are accounted for.
The Middle School Office should be contacted if it is expected that your child will be away for more than two days.
Parents and guardians who may have forgotten their Compass username and password, can contact Lauren Kelso in the Middle School Office.
Arriving to school on time
Students should be arriving at school no later than 8.30 am. This gives them time to put bags in lockers and organise their books for Periods 1 and 2.
Home Group Assembly starts at 8.40 am. It is imperative that students attend Home Group Assembly to receive important information.
Students who arrive late for school must provide a note (or approval entered on Compass) from a parent/guardian and sign in at the Middle School Office.
