Junior Mathematics

As part of our endeavour to provide extension for our students, the College offers an Enrichment Mathematics course at Year 9 level.

Eligibility for this course is determined by evaluating your son’s collated results from Year 7 and 8 and external diagnostic data including NAPLAN and the ACER Progressive Achievement Test in Mathematics which assess students’ skills and understanding of the Strands of Mathematics. If a student does not secure a place in the Enrichment Class this program does not preclude him from attempting any higher levels of Mathematics at the VCE level.

Subsequently, please note that selection into Year 9 Enrichment Mathematics is not based on current participation in Years 7 and 8 advanced Mathematics classes, which is a College initiative rather than a data-based selection process.
