Scholastic Book Fair...& a Surprise Visitor!
The Annual Book Fair will be running every recess, lunchtime and after school in the Discovery Centre (DC) from Friday May 18 - Wednesday May 23.
Students and Parents/Carers are welcome to come, browse and even make a purchase. Cash, credit cards and EFTPOS will be accepted.
Geronimo Stilton will be making surprise appearances during the fair. We look forward to seeing parents and students in the DC during the fair!

Fiji Major Fundraiser - Friday May 25
This year one of the VCE classes - called Vetamorphus - are excitingly taking a trip to Fiji on June 17 to join with Missionary Ventures, an organisation that works with communities in need all over the world.
During this trip we will be helping many of the Highland Fijian communities whose poverty and remote location causes them to struggle with even the most basic needs, such as having access to clean water. These people are also disadvantaged with respect to important things such as education and healthcare.
Throughout this trip we will be teaching in community schools, playing games with the children and running church services and special programs. To be able to participate in this trip each student has been encouraged to raise a minimum of $2,200. This is not to just simply cover the cost of the plane tickets, but this will also fund bringing over basic essentials like toothbrushes, personal hygiene products, books and basic stationery items and sporting equipment to gift to the members of the Fijian communities and schools that we are visiting.
To help raise funds, students will be organising a Trivia Night ($10 per head) and Silent Auction on Friday May 25 from 6pm - 10pm in the BHCS Gymnasium. There will be many amazing items up for auction, live music, a BBQ dinner (2 sausages and a drink $5). Stay tuned to see a full list of what's on auction in the coming weeks.

Family Bush Dance Invitation
We warmly invite you to come along to the 2018 BHCS Family Bush Dance! It's a night of FUN, having a laugh at yourself, getting active with your kids and a chance to connect with other school families. As in past years, we'll have the usual top quality bush band, supper provided and a chance to dress up! We'd love to have you there.
