Staff Profile

Erin O'Sullivan

In 2019, Erin O’Sullivan is entering her third year as the teacher of Art and Visual Communication Design at Scoresby Secondary College. In her time at the college she has also taken up the position as Arts and Technology Leader, where she has organised the annual Arts and Technology Showcase for the past two years.

Upon completing her own secondary schooling, Erin was unsure what career path to take but always knew she wanted to pursue her passions in the visual arts. This led her to a Diploma of Visual Arts at Swinburne TAFE where she developed her skills in painting, printmaking, sculpture and digital photography.

Upon graduating from her Diploma, Erin began a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Monash University, specialising in printmaking. It was during this degree that she knew teaching was what she wanted to pursue, finding inspiration in the attentive, supportive and knowledgeable teachers she looked up to throughout her tertiary studies.

At the end of 2015, Erin completed a Master of Teaching in both Primary and Secondary teaching at Deakin University.

Before joining the community at Scoresby Secondary College, she taught at a range of schools such as Balwyn High School, Lilydale High School and Upwey High School, alongside working in the retail industry.

Erin is continually wowed by the creativity and artistic skill, that the students at Scoresby Secondary College display both in their classes and out in the local community. She looks forward to helping them achieve their personal best, exploring different ways of expressing their creativity in the years to come.
