Homework Club

Homework club is an excellent service that provides students with a learning-forward environment, allowing productivity to flourish. Homework club is located in the library, abundant in educational resources and tools, running on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

This space and facility is ideal for students wanting to catch up or work on assessment tasks and assignments, homework activities and questions, or to receive guided assistance from the supervising teacher. Students may also wish to utilise this facility to refine their skills, practice new content and concepts, and extend their learning.

Community Partnerships

Our partnership with Rotary Club of Knox has enabled us to connect with a wonderful organisation called SANCSS Australia. We contacted Rotary Club to see if they knew of an organisation who could benefit from a donation of stock of our previous college green and blue uniform, particularly the woollen jumpers.

We were introduced to Jamie Ramos the founder and chairperson of SANCCS who was appreciative of the offer and able to send the uniforms to the Philippines.  SANCSS Australia was established in 2015 after Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines and their Government was unable to cope with demand for support. The success of their work and satisfaction from making a difference to disadvantaged and underprivileged children led to a roll-out of similar support in other community projects in Australia and other countries to reach children who are most in need.

In meeting Jamie we realised that this organisation could benefit some members of our own community. Last week our Year 10 coordinator, Tom Santos, visited Jamie who supplied us with stationery items that would support students whose families have required assistance in purchasing some of these items for the start of the new school year. We are appreciative of their support and encourage you to visit their webpage to see how they are working towards their vision and goal to be a leading provider of care services for disadvantaged children.
