Principal's Message

College Board

The past 2/3 months has seen the College Board undertake a review of its committee structure, advertising for new members, interviewing and appointing new members to the committees in view that in the near future they may become full Board members. The College Board under the chairmanship of Anthony Brinkley has been very proactive in its functioning and support of the College. All current and future Board members either have, or had sons at the College. They obviously have personal expertise which they are happy to share for the good of the College. Can I thank the number of parents who put themselves forward to serve the College and whether successful or unsuccessful your generosity and willingness is appreciated.

In its restructuring the Board has established four committees which are:

  1. Finance and Property
  2. Formation and Planning
  3. Risk Management
  4. Principal Appointment (future)

Each committee has a specific role description and reports to the Board through the committee chairperson. The committees do the ground work for the Board meetings. The Board being an Incorporated Body has a clear Constitution which is similar to the Colleges of other order owned Colleges.

The present Chair of the College Board is Mr Anthony Brinkley and the Deputy Chair is Mr Stephen Gallagher.

The Board meets 8 times a year with the Board committees meeting before each of the Board meetings.

The College Board is responsible for the good governance of the College.
