Past Pupils of Distiction 2019
Past Pupils of Distiction
Kilbreda College Past Pupils’ Network Committee, with the support of Co Principals Teresa Lincoln and Nicole Mangelsdorf and members of the Kilbreda Stewardship Council, introduced a program to recognise Kilbreda women making a difference. Kilbreda College Past Pupils of Distinction has been introduced as a means of recognising, acknowledging and celebrating outstanding contributions of Past Pupils to community and ultimately to the lives of others. It provides a platform where stories can be shared and current and future students can be inspired by those who have lived our values and motto and made a difference across many areas.
Nineteen women were nominated in 2017 and four, Carol Gaston, Professor Judith Kinnear, Dr Mayumi Purvis and The Honourable Chief Justice Marilyn Warren were inducted to Kilbreda Past Pupils of Distinction at the inaugural Past Pupils of Distinction dinner in August 2017. Inductees were chosen by a selection committee comprised of the Kilbreda Stewardship Council and chosen in accordance with the set criteria:
- have achieved /are achieving outstanding success and excellence in their field/s of endeavour,
- have made / are making a positive difference in the lives of others
- embody the Kilbreda motto of “Strength and Kindliness”.
