Girls 'Make' The News (Literally)

It’s great to see many Past Pupils now working in the media presenting the news, sport, current affairs and entertainment we see and hear on a daily basis. At present we have no fewer than five of our finest working in journalism.

As mentioned in the previous article, Jayde Vincent is the senior court reporter and covers all major cases from the County and Supreme Courts, whilst Eliza Rugg reports on general news items.

Kristie Mercer has worked on a number of regional and capital city radio stations and is best known for her program 'The Thinkergirls' which is also a podcast.

Jacqui Reed is a producer and sports reporter on Ten News and has covered many major local and international sporting events.

Ash Gardner can currently be heard reading the news in the mornings on Melbourne’s Nova FM on 'The Chrissy, Sam and Brownie Breakfast show'.

No doubt the grounding they all had in English, Drama and Education at Kilbreda has served them well!
