Flower and Garden Show

On Thursday 28 March VCAL students had the opportunity to go to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show at the Royal Exhibition Building and  Carlton Gardens.

The show is the largest horticultural event in the southern hemisphere with over 15 landscape designs and more than 70 floral designs to see.

I made my way into the city by train, met everyone at Parliament station by 9:30 am and together we all walked to the show.

At the show, we saw many garden sculptures of animals and people, all entered by 65 artists. We were able to go inside a tiny house built of sustainable technology. We saw the achievable garden displays and enjoyed the creative floral fashions created by RMIT students.

One of our tasks was to take a photograph representing our highlight of the day.  Attached are a few of our highlights for you to enjoy.  Finally, after hours of walking, and feeling very tired, we were dismissed and I made my way back home on a train.
