Thank you to the community of St James Primary for your active participation in school activities and Parents Association events.
Term 3 is a busy time of year as we look forward to the St James Main Fundraiser on Saturday 24th August 2019 at 7:30pm.
A Mexican Fiesta!
To be held at Brighton Town Hall, Wilson St Brighton. Full details as per above. Bookings should be made ASAP to ensure great attendance for a fantastic night!
Please encourage all the parents in your year level to attend this fun night out. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and socialise across all year levels in our school community. We aim to create fundraising opportunities to contribute at all price points. So spend a little or spend a lot – every dollar contributes to practical enhancements to your children’s learning environment.
We’d love to see you there!
Just a note to let everyone know to think about our Parents Association committee for 2020. I will be stepping aside as Parents Association President at the end of this year; after 13 years at St James this is my final year. Many of our other PA roles will also need to be filled in 2020, such as Main Event Fundraiser and Parent Reps. So chat to friends, get a team together so we have roles filled early in Term 4 and handovers can be done by the end of the year.
I will be away from the 25th August until early term 4 and would love a volunteer to step up as Acting PA President during my absence. It would involve chairing one meeting on Wed 18th September and liaising with Secretary, Treasurer and event organisers. If you had considered having a go as President in 2020, this could be chance to see what is involved. No pressure if it is not for you. It also a great role that can be shared with a Deputy by your side. Please contact me as below if you’re interested.
