Year 4

Year 4 Ace Hi Camp

On the 7th – 9th November the Year Fours attended Ace Hi Camp on the Mornington Peninsula.

Here is a recount of this fantastic experience by Madelynne Mazzone.

There I was sitting in the bus waiting for the bus driver to drive off. My bus partner was Bella, she was so entertaining. An hour and a half later we arrived at the camp. I was so excited!

One of my Favourite activities was the giant swing and I had that on the first day. I was so nervous but I got there in the end.

That night we had a hike. During the hike we saw a few horses and got to touch them. All of a sudden it started to spit. We ran into the Main Hall and we all ate biscuits and headed off to bed.

The next day I had quite a few activities but my favourite was archery. I was pretty good but the other team hit the balloon on the target, no fair! At about 7:30pm we grabbed our pillows and went to the Main Hall and watched a talent show and a movie.

I woke up with a shock, I couldn’t believe it was the last day already. I had my last activity it was the flying fox. The person who was next to me on the flying fox was Gabriella. An hour later it was farewell to the Camp.

Michael Jones also recounts his experiences at camp

We were on the bus waiting excitedly to get to camp. Finally we arrived, everybody was excited and wanted to go in but we had to wait and get our luggage. When we went in everybody wanted to find out their first activity. My first activity was the leap of faith.

The leap of faith was 15 metres tall. It was a little nerve racking because you jump off a platform and it is really scary even though you have a harness on. Hansikka was the only one who hit the ball when she jumped. My second activity was the flying fox which was 200 metres long.
