School of Rock

During Term 4, selected Performing Arts students were able to go watch the head banging show ‘School of Rock’. Students caught the train to Flinders Street station to then walk to Her Majesty’s Theatre where the musical was performed. The performance was such an entertaining and enjoyable show to watch. The musical mostly focused on Dewey Finn disguised as Ned Schneebly taking a role as a substitute teacher at Horace Green with no experience. Dewey Finn found out the amazing talents of his class and decided to teach them rock. After a few classes of learning how to be a “rock band” Dewey decided that the class should be entered to the “Battle of the Bands.” After a few rocky situations Dewey got kicked out of Horace Green and he decided to go home and cry. While Dewey was at home on his bed, his students decided to steal a bus and go to his house to surprise him and take him to the Battle of the Bands. All together they didn’t end up winning but they had so much fans. Overall School of Rock was an astonishing musical and I would recommend it to anyone interested in a truly head banging show.
