NSW Public Schools State Dance Ensemble
Auditions are complete and selections are in and Cowra High have 4 successful students.
CONGRATULATIONS to Erika Sullivan (Yr 12), Amelia Clements (Yr 9), Mollie Thompson (Yr 9) and Keira Buckley (Yr 8)
This is the highest achievement possible for NSW school dance and they will be off to Sydney to rehearse throughout the year for the State Dance Festival and NSW Schools Spectacular.

Contemporary Ensemble
Our Contemporary Ensemble have started working with the amazing Ange French. Titled
"And suddenly I realised I had forgotten the smell of rain", this work explores the impact of the drought on communities, environments and future generations to come.
We cannot wait to see this piece up on stage later this term performing at Western NSW Dance Festival.
Schools Spectacular Feature Dancers Live Auditions 2019
Seven students from Cowra High School are through to the live auditions in four styles of Dance. They will be travelling to Sydney for the Live Auditions throughout May.

Working with Hope
Some of our lucky dancers got to work with ex-student Hope Martin Edgar in the style of musical theatre.
Hope is studying full-time at Ed5 in Sydney and has come back to pass on her knowledge and skills.
It is always lovely to see ex-students coming back and sharing with us. Thanks Hope for your excellent choreography.
Cowra Eisteddfod 2019
Cowra High School was well represented in the School Dance sections of the Cowra Eisteddfod winning All Three sections.
Section 374 – Secondary Schools Year 11/12
Cowra High school Stage 6 Ensemble – First place with 88 marks.
Dancers: Nicola Carter, Chloe Fricker, Maisie Thompson, Millie Casey, Erika Sullivan, Victoria King, Brigette Healy and Ashleigh Saunders.
Section 373 – Secondary Schools Year 7 – 10
Cowra High School Jazz Ensemble – First Place with 87 marks.
Dancers: Isabelle Thompson, Bridie Smith, Lilly Smith, Georgia Williams, Kaili Buckley, Allie Melhuish, Callie Bridges, Millie Hampton, Jacqueline Long, Keira Buckley, Emma Clements, Amelia Clements, Mollie Thompson, Lucy Murray, Zoe Budge, Amy Gruessing, Zara McKenzie, Maddison Stone, Kate Rowston, Nashwa Bakini and Lowanna Murray.
Section 375 – Secondary Schools Open Dance
Cowra High School Musical Theatre Ensemble - First place with 91 marks.
