Year 7

Assistant Principal's Report

Well hasn’t this term gone fast?

With only one week of school remaining for the term, and the weather starting to warm up, the holiday period will be a great time for our year 7’s to have a well-deserved break before they begin a busy term 4.

It has been great to see students continue to build positive relationships with each other and their teachers, and the celebration of achievement at each weekly assembly. The growth of the students from the beginning of the year is quite amazing, and they are actually now closer to being year 8’s than starting year 7. Term 4 will be full of opportunities and challenges for our year 7 students, which I think they are ready to face head on.

With the weather expected to be warmer next term, students will again start wearing their summer uniform. For students who need assistance with the correct uniform, please ask your child to speak to their tutor teacher or a member of student services.

I look forward to continuing to work with your children this year to enhance their educational opportunities and help them become the best they can be.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7

As we approach the end of this term, it's impossible not to look back in awe at the incredible journey we've undertaken together. The past few months have been nothing short of exciting, as our school has been a bustling hive of activity, growth, and achievement.

This term has seen our students dive into a wide array of projects, and extracurricular activities. From Legally Blonde Jnr the Musical, Writing Week with A.J. Betts, Night at the Museum and Book Week have left us amazed by the creativity and talents of our students, all the Year 7's have truly embraced the spirit of learning.

In the spirit of recognising and celebrating outstanding achievements, we are thrilled to continue having our Student of the Week. This is a way we shine a spotlight on remarkable students who have consistently demonstrated our school values of Respect, Excellence and Cooperation within our school community. Congratulations to our Students of the Week:

  • Izayah Turner – 7J
  • Imygen Fletcher-Mol – 7K
  • Maley Jok – 7D
  • Ellouise Mort – 7F
  • Ellen Rossi – 7K
  • Liam Jury – 7H
  • Deshahn Deans-Tewhakaara – 7J

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our exceptional Year 7 team and staff. They've been the driving force behind our Year 7’s achievements and always going the extra mile to ensure a nurturing and supportive environment.

As we take a moment to catch our breaths during the upcoming term break, it's important to reflect on the hard work and dedication that have characterised this term. It's been a busy, challenging, and ultimately rewarding period for our entire school community.

Looking ahead, we have even more reason to be optimistic. The experiences and lessons from this term have prepared the Year 7’s for whatever challenges and opportunities the future may hold. Together, we'll continue to grow, learn, and achieve great things.

Wishing you all a well-deserved and joyful Term 3 break!
