Student Voice &

Positive Environment

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) have been busy throughout the term. They are continuing to engage with their peers in order for all student voices to be heard. The SRC representatives have begun meeting with the class captains to gain further insight and feedback from all classes at each year level. This feedback will be discussed at the fortnightly SRC meetings with actions to be taken where needed.

The SRC has been supporting events throughout the term, including the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence on the 18th of August, Wear It Purple Day on the 25th of August, as well as at the Humanities and Science faculties Night at the Museum and Science Fair.

Our year 10 and 11 SRC representatives have also been fortunate to participate in the Wyndham Student Representative Council Forums. As was mentioned in the last newsletter, this will help our members develop leadership and project management skills to create and implement youth-led projects within the college and wider community. The group of students have now met twice with other schools and are in the process of developing a change project they identify through data. This program will continue throughout term 4.
