Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to say how great it is to see so many students currently wearing correct school uniform. There are plenty of the new hoodies, pants and shorts throughout the school and they look fantastic. At student reception we have a range of sizes of each item for students to try on, orders can then be completed online and all orders are being delivered to the school every week when they are ready for students to take home. Just a reminder that as the weather starts to warm up, bike shorts and tights are not part of our uniform and students will be asked to change into correct school uniform.
Planning for 2024 is already in full swing to make sure we cater for all of our students and families. Our current Year 10’s and 11’s have had the opportunity to meet with staff and plan their subjects in readiness for next year. We would like to thank all of the Parents/Guardians that attended the Course Confirmation meetings to help plan the best path for their child.
Our Year 8’s had an information session on Wednesday to help support their choice of electives for next year and a form has been sent home with students for parents to confirm the choices for next year.
Next week we have our Year 9 into 10 information night, where students and parents/guardians will have the opportunity to learn about all of the electives available as well as possible Tafe options. The following week, students and parents/guardians will be able to attend their course confirmation meetings.
Our Year 9’s will also have their Morrisby interviews next week, which is a follow up from the testing that they completed in week two. All students have the opportunity to speak with a career’s professional, who will support to plan possible subjects and career paths in the future.
We hope our Year 10’s have a great week either at Snow Camp or on Work Experience next week. We would like to thank our staff members that have put a lot of time into planning these opportunities and that it is an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Progress Reports will be published at the end of next week and a link to book a Parent/Teacher interview will be sent out in week 7. Interviews will be held on Wednesday the 30th of August and we would love to have as many of our parents attending as possible.
As always we would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to the second half of the term.
Mr. Josh Willersdorf
