Year 4 News

ON FRIDAY 14TH JULY THE YEAR 4s SHOWCASED THEIR WORK ON ANIMALS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENTS.

They worked on making dioramas to feature their chosen animal in its natural environment. During Term 2 they researched and presented an Information Report and made a poster showing the Life Cycle of their animal.

Here are examples of what the students thought about their Expo.

Here is some of their work below:

Year 4 CB

I made my shark out of blue paper and I used pom poms for the coral. I was nervous and worried about the other students coming in to see us. The expo was great when the Year 1’s came into our class. Alynna

On Friday the Year 4’s had an expo. My animal was a shark, I learnt that sharks eat other sharks and have a good sense of smell. The expo was fun and I enjoyed it. Hill

I learnt alot about fur seals for our expo. We set our tables up into a big “U” shape in the classroom. We then set up our own dioramas, posters of the Life Cycles and our Information Reports. It was fun. Noah

On Friday the Year 4’s had an excellent expo. There were kolas, seals, sharks, quokkas and more. All the three classes had different animals, some very endangered. The expo was a lot of fun and I hope we can do some more. Heather

On Friday I was so nervous because we had our Year 4 Expo. It was also a lot of fun. I learnt a lot about my animal and the others. We started to set up the tables, which took a lot of energy but surprisingly it was fun. The Year 1’s came in first, but it was still scary. One of them came up to me to talk about my animal. It was okay.   Mason
