DOLLY'S DREAM
DOLLY'S DREAM TEAM VISIT
On Wednesday the 19th of July we had the Dolly's Dream Team visit KSC, where they ran sessions with all students from Year’s 7-11. 'Dolly's Dream' is a foundation that was created by Kate & Tick Everett as a result of the loss of their teenage daughter to suicide due to ongoing bullying. Dolly’s Dream is committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families. We would like to thank all of the sponsors of this fantastic opportunity, which include, but are not limited to, Leongatha Lions Club, South Gippsland Shire, The Rotary Club of Korumburra, Lion’s Clubs of the South Gippsland Region, The Wonthaggi Blue Light, along with some other generous sponsors. This allowed a number of schools in our area to access these workshops free of charge. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work by Senior Constable Megan Krause, the Wonthaggi Youth Resource Officer, from the Proactive Policing Unit, who has spent considerable time working to raise awareness and funding for this support in our community. Also to Nick Carlon from the Wonthaggi Police for attending and supporting the day. Dolly’s Dream will continue to work with and support the KSC community in a number of ways for years to come. Parents and students are encouraged to utilise their free resources on the Dolly’s Dream website for any support they require. https://dollysdream.org.au/
