Reminders for Languages Clubs Term 3

Language Clubs are friendly and supportive learning spaces for students who are keen to practise and improve their language skills in small groups. Students learn through a combination of drama, storytelling, technology, songs, craft, games, books and film. The themes covered can vary, depending on the students’ interests and abilities. Students are also welcome to drop by Language Clubs to have additional support with homework or upcoming assessment tasks. Stage 4 French Breakfast

Elsa, College 8

“Recently, the Years 7 and 8 French classes took part in an incursion, where we learnt about French articles, grammar and French food. It was a great experience which furthered our understanding of French language and culture. The French host was very kind and taught my class very well and handed out absolutely delicious ‘pain au chocolat’ chocolate croissants. Overall, it was an awesome incursion!”

Year 4 Chinese Dragon Boat Race

The Chinese Dragon Boat Race, a cherished and time-honored tradition, holds a special place in the hearts of millions worldwide. Recently, Year 4 students celebrated this captivating event in a unique way – through teamwork and creativity, they recreated their own in-class dragon boat race, complete with the mesmerizing echoes of rhythmic drumming! Their enthusiasm was truly infectious and brought the spirit of this ancient spectacle alive within the classroom.
