Assembly 

Last Friday 2 students from each class presented their learning plan for term 3. It sounds like a busy term ahead for each year level.  Griffin and Jeremy from Year 4,  in particular, presented quite the lively report!

Our Prep/1 class will be filling their term with maths; fractions, sharing, number patterns, and denominations of monetary units. Seasons and Changes Around Us  will be the theme for intergrated studies and we will be working with class 1/2 to create something very special to showcase at our Exibition of Learning.

Class 1/2  will be working on information report writing and have already started building an example as a class referring to ladybugs. Students will then go forward to create their own informative report, while in Maths they will be focussing on multiplication and division, number patterns and shapes.  In Integrated Studies, they will be focussing on the Seasons and Changes Around Us.

Kim's 2/3 will be looking into chemical sciences and undertaking some investigations, persuasive writing, and geography; learning about Australia's surrounding continents and Islands.

Our Year 4's with Kathryn will be writing stories and practising expressing and developing our ideas when creating narratives.  Our Maths learning will consist of patterns, algebra, fractions, shapes and objects, and measurement using volume, capacity and mass. In Integrated Studies we will be investigating ‘Navigators’ and completing a personal interest project. 

Class 5/6 A/B with Dave and Charlotte will be focusing on using persuasive techniques in Literacy, sharpening their skills in division, fractions, decimals, and shape in Maths.  We will also be continuing on with our Buddies Program with our Prep/1 class, a will be helping them with game play and co-operative skills. We are also excited about the snow program coming up soon.

Friday 11th August Class 1/2 will be presenting.

Family and friends are welcome to attend our assemblies on Monday (in the under-cover area) and Fridays (in the BER building).  Please note that ALL visitors to school grounds must comply with current COVID guidelines.   If you are unwell, please refrain from attending.
