Junior School Update

Year 3 to Year 6 have well and truly started Edu Dance… and loving every minute of it!

Apart from health and fitness, Edu-Dance is a curriculum-based dance fitness program designed for primary school students. A privately owned and operated company, Edu-Dance works with approximately 270 schools located in Perth, Western Australia. Edu-Dance delivers fast paced, high-energy lessons with age-appropriate choreography and music. Dances are primarily hip-hop based in style but also touch on contemporary, Musical theatre and Jazz genres. Each year routines are different, keeping the experience fresh and exciting for students, staff and families.

In English, Humanities and Social Science’s, Year 3 have started our Geography unit and Information Report unit. This term we are travelling around Australia and learning about the states and territories and will eventually write an information report on our chosen state or territory.

Year 5 students are learning about Keeping Safe Body Parts and the difference between public and private. Maths is surging ahead with students focussing on Factors and Multiples and looking at number patterns.

Year 6 are starting to explore the enormity and beauty of Asia in their studies. Students are also busily finishing off their suspense stories. We can’t wait to read theme!
