The Early Years

Pre-Kindy

Pre-Kindy made some beautiful nature collages with flowers and leaves collected from our nature playground. They are making the learning space smell wonderful!

Mrs Dunstan has been teaching the Pre-Kindy classes about our new worm farms! We love having a peel at the worms, which we feed with our fruit scraps.

Celebrating 100 Days at School - A Day of Fun and Excitement!

Last Friday, 28 July, the Pre-Primary students at Salvado Catholic College had a fantastic time celebrating their 100th day at school. It was a day full of exciting activities, all about the number "100."

The day started with everyone dressing up in cool outfits to show off the number 100. Some children had 100 dots on their clothes, while others sparkled with 100 shiny things or looked like they were 100 years old. It was like a big dress-up party!

Inside the Learning Spaces, the students played games that helped them get better at counting. They counted to 100 together and had lots of fun doing it. The 100th day at school was a super fun day. It showed how much joy learning can bring and how creative kids can be. The students will always remember this special celebration and look forward to learning more and more in the coming days.

We cannot wait to see the students grow in Pre-Primary over the next 100 days.

Year 1

The students in Year 1 have been learning the story of The Three Little Pigs during their Talk for Writing sessions. The students learn actions to go along with the story while reading from a story map.

To insight further engagement, the students were lucky to make some Honey joys, with the most important ingredient... honey, being provided by one of our students!
