Out and About the School

NAIDOC Week

Naidoc Week was a great celebration of storytelling, creativity and culture. Led by Mr Morley, our Aboriginal Education Assistant, the students participated in a variety of activities throughout the week. Bush Tucker was on sale from the canteen and a whole school sausage sizzle was provided.

Jodie Herden, an artist and author, ran art lessons based on her latest release, Star Dreaming. Mr Morley ran a didgeridoo painting session and he and Mrs Paul included aboriginal games in their PE lessons.

Another highlight was the Smoking Ceremony led by James Hogbin (Frog). Our students Parker Seach and Lewy Seach assisted Frog by carrying the smoking gum leaves around. The boys did this with dignity and pride.

Mr Morley prepared a choir who sang Archie Roach’s powerful song, “They Took The Children away.”

School Fees

School fees are due by 18th August. School fees can now be paid on the Compass App, BPay, or Eftpos at the office.

Our school has transitioned to a new finance system.  This change includes new ways in which you can make payments to the school, including Bpay, CompassPay and EFTPOS.  Current direct debit options will still be available for a limited time.  Our current school bank account will be closing and therefore we will be asking parents to make payments to the school via one of these new functionalities.

You can easily set up regular payments from your bank account to the new school bpay account (in place of your old direct debit). Contact the office for your BPay details.

You can also make payments for School Fees and Events via the Compass App.

It is essential that we have a valid email address for each parent making payments.
