On the 25th of July the intermediate boys played in the SMR round robin. With the first game cancelled we played Narre Warren South, followed by Cheltenham. The boys played extremely well and won both games convincingly. We then progressed to the final against Berwick. After withstanding their initial assault, we stood tall and outplayed them, winning 54-8. The boys were absolutely outstanding and represented PSC brilliantly with their attack on the footy, support for one another and respect shown towards the opposition and umpires. We now progress through to state finals and cannot wait to see how we are tested. Best players included Hudson Wright, Tyson Bradley, Noah Grimmer, Oliver Del Rio and Josh Welsh. Thanks also to our team of helpers who assisted with rotations and umpiring.

Junior Boys Netball Southern Metropolitan Region Champions

On Monday the 7th of August, the Junior Boys Netball Team were crowned the Southern Metropolitan Region Champions. They won all 3 ‘Pool’ Games against Cranbourne West Secondary, Port Melbourne Secondary and Keysborough Secondary quite convincingly, which got them into the final against Berwick Secondary. After a very tight 3 quarters, the team won by 5 goals, and earned themselves a place in the State Finals at the end of the month. Congratulations to all the players, it was a terrific effort and so amazing to see the improvement in their netball skills from their dedication to lunchtime netball trainings. Thank you to Ankita Mahanty and Tilly Flemming, who coached and encouraged the boys endlessly on the day.
