STEP

ROBOCUP Competition

3 teams from our STEP Robotics students bravely entered the Melbourne ROBOCUP Competition, held on the 29th July.

This event is what they have been working towards, and it was a fantastic day of robots and coding!!

The event consists of 5 rounds each with increasing complexity.  Between round student were able to recode their robots and improve them to fit the courses.

What amazed me on the day was the level of flexibility, adaptation and ‘on the job’ learning shown by own students as they recoded between rounds and always strove to make their robots better.

WELL DONE TEAM!!!  I was very proud to be part of the day!

Advanced 3D Modelling and Printing

Our STEP advanced 3D students have been very busy creating their 3D models. There are a whole varity of creations including currency for games through to motors and gears!

Anatomy by Dissection

Our Anatomy by dissection students were dissecting squids this past week!

They successfully removed the ‘pen’ and the ‘beak’.  All were duly impressed with what they discovered!
