Bunnings BBQ - Saturday 2nd November 

Hi Monty families,

We have been lucky enough to secure a Bunnings BBQ in Term 4 for Saturday 2nd November. This does coincide with the a school curriculum day on Monday 4th November, and then Melbourne Cup on Tuesday 5th November. However, if you are not planning on taking a long weekend get-away, we would love your help.

A Bunnings BBQ is a great way to do fundraising in the community and as the Saturday of this unofficial long weekend is typically very busy, we are anticipating a big day of sausage sizzling.

Bunnings BBQ - Coordinators needed on the day

Due to family commitments, our Bunnings BBQ guru is no longer able to be the main coordinator at our 2nd November Bunnings BBQ.  So we are looking for 1 or 2 people to help out and take on this role.

All the food and support stuff (like eskies, sauce, sausages, drinks etc) will be ordered and delivered to the site (thanks Nicole) that morning. We just need an official coordinator to be the ‘go to person’ on site – make sure there are enough snags cooking, transition helpers in and out of roles as they come and go, keep an eye on what needs to be done, empty the till of big notes, be in charge of food handling (when to wear and change gloves)…..

The coordinator needs to be onsite from 8am to take a handover of the equipment from Bunnings, and there to the end of the day (finish cooking at 4pm then packup and clean).

Terrarium Workshop Social Night

Last Friday we ran a social night at ‘Botanical Styling by Liz’ in Eltham. Fifteen participants enjoyed a lovely evening of catching up with friends, sipping wine and nibbling snacks, and also managed to make beautiful terrariums.

A huge thank you to Liz from Botanical Styling for running the night. The venue was great and everyone had a great time and love their new creations.
