Scotsburn News

Term 1 comes to a close

The Scotsburn students, staff and families have enjoyed a positive term. It has been so nice to see our new preps settling into school life with a smile on their faces and our Grade 6’s taking on various roles of responsibility to ensure that things are running along smoothly at the campus. Along with that, the SC1, SC2 & SC3 classes have all settled into the year nicely and certainly appear to have enjoyed their time at school. Special thanks to the wonderful community that we have for their understanding and support during what has been a challenging time late this term. Fingers crossed that everything can get back to ‘normal’ as soon as possible.

School Council Rep

A huge thank you to Damian Shackell and Nyree Wilson who have joined the School Council. They will provide great representation for the Scotsburn Campus.

Bore Works

Last week, the locator was at the campus searching for and marking out the various services ready for the plumber and electrician to come in and connect the bore to our tanks. The majority of this work will happen during the holidays. We are looking forward to the many projects that are possible once we have a steady supply of water.

Tree Removal

Following a recent arborist report, we have a couple of trees that need removing. We have already had one removed and hope to have the other 2 sorted out during the holiday break.

Holiday Watering Roster

A big thanks to Naomi Moore for putting together the watering roster for the holidays. Special thanks also to those that are able to help out. Following the scheduled holidays, Simon, who is our maintenance man, will be able to take care of the watering.

Caring for the Animals

Our animals are all cared for whilst we will be off school. A big thanks to the Issy Gray, Logan Smith and their families for their support with this.

Friday Rotations

A big thanks to all of our wonderful helpers this term. Our Friday rotations have been great fun. We look forward to your generous support again next term.

Thanks and enjoy the break

The Scotsburn staff would like to thank you all for your wonderful support throughout the term. We hope you enjoy a happy and safe break with your families. Please keep an eye on your compass feed for confirmation of when term 2 will begin.
