Feast of the Assumption

Father in heaven,

all creation rightly gives you praise,

for all life and all holiness come from you.

In the plan of your wisdom

she who bore the Christ in her womb

was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven.

May we follow her example in reflecting your holiness

and join in her hymn of endless love and praise.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Social Justice News

As part of our Religion unit we have come up with an idea for everyone to support Social Justice by bringing in some towels to give to the Lost Dogs Home in North Melbourne. We want everyone to try to participate by bringing  OLD towels only, please don’t buy anything. We want to help create comfort for the cats’ and dogs’ beds while the pets wait for their owners to collect them.

By donating to this cause you will be supporting the Catholic Social Teaching of Stewardship of Creation in two ways:

Looking after the needs of animals by giving them comfort

Looking after the environment by reusing old towels instead of sending them to landfill

Please place your old towels in the basket in your Learning Area. Thank you for your support.
