MJBC Awards Night

To celebrate the achievements made by our basketball community over Seasons 1 and 2 of 2019, we invite all players and their families to the MJBC Awards Night.


This is a free event and as such we would like to see as many people as possible attend!

It would be great to have some helpers for the set up and clean up. If you are able to help, please let the Co-Ordinator (Julz Thompson) know at



 Monday, 18 November and run through until Thursday, 5 December 2019.


PLEASE NOTE: KDBA have advised that ALL TEAMS will be playing in this season’s finals series. Teams 1- 4 will be competing for premiership. Teams 5 and onwards will be competing for placement. 

A simple breakdown of the schedule is as follows:

  • 1 v 2
  • 3 v 4
  • 5 v 6
  • 7 v 8
  • Etc.

If there is an uneven amount of teams, the bottom team on the ladder will be on a bye for the first week. In the second week, they will be playing off for the bottom two positions on the ladder. Team Managers please check with your team that you will have enough players available to play through the entire three weeks of finals. 


Any team who may be unable to compete in all three finals (semi, preliminary & grand final), must notify KDBA this week that they are withdrawing from the finals.

 A reminder that basketball singlets must be purchased from Year 8 on. Singlets are purchased during the registration process during December/January so you will need to know sizing by then. You can use your current loan shirt as a guide for sizing or if you still wish to try a uniform on, please contact our uniform co-ordinator, Jenny Simpson

 All loan uniforms must be returned by team managers to Jenny Simpson, washed, by Tuesday, 10 December 2019.
