Primary News

From the Deputy
We have survived the heat and the students are having a well-deserved rest over the weekend. I would like to thank those that attended the Parent BBQ on Wednesday evening. We had a great time of fun and fellowship; I cannot wait for the balloon toss on Sport’s Day - Go Angas!
I trust you are enjoying your updates from staff on Dojo and are using it as a way to communicate with your child’s teacher. I really look forward daily to seeing what is happening around the Primary School.
Our new classrooms under the Gymnasium are nearly completed! Our Learning Support and Music classes will benefit greatly from these new spaces. By the time we produce our next newsletter in two weeks time, these rooms will be finished, well furbished and we'll have more photos to share with you.
We are having our Parent/Teacher Interviews a little earlier this term and they will take on a different format. They will be held on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 March starting at 3:30pm and conclude at 6:15pm. Each time slot will last for 15 minutes and teachers will discuss your child’s progress (including IEP’s) as well as outline goals for the future. A copy of the progress document will not be given to parents unless requested. Please make sure you book a time using the hyperlink below. If you miss out on booking a time, please arrange an alternate time with your child’s teacher.
Please continue to read the newsletter for dates and events. Enjoy your weekend!

Primary Music
The Year 4 to Year 6 Music classes are learning guitar this term. They enjoyed working together to create some sultry tunes this week.

SAPSASA Swimming
Monday 25 February was forecasted 36 degrees - perfect for the pool!
6 keen swimmers - James Challis, Layla Frahn, Quinn Garwood, Millan Spencer, Eden Baker and Ethan Pagliarulo were selected for the SAPSASA Southern Fleurieu Districts 2019 Swimming Carnival at the Strathalbyn Pool.
Each swimmer represented Tyndale with outstanding abilities and attitude. Just to be selected to compete in a SAPSASA event, is an achievement in itself!
Special mention goes to the 3 boys who came 1st in their event and will now head to Marion to compete in the STATE SAPSASA Carnival. James - 50m Freestyle, Millan - 50m Butterfly and Ethan - 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle. Congratulations and good luck boys!
