Zachary Amphlett - Karate Champion

Zachary Amphlett of Avila House – West Campus has always had a love of sport and in particular Karate. Zachary has consistently been at the top for his age in Karate first in Victoria, then Australia and now in The Asia-Pacific Region. He recently went overseas to compete in the Asia Pacific Championship in New Caledonia. He took part and represented Australia and did extremely well in all of his bouts, competing against people from the New Zealand, Fiji and New Caledonia.

Avila House and St. Peter's College would like to congratulate Zachary in his individual competition where he won a silver in Junior Male 68kg Kumite and Combined Junior/Senior Male Kata. He was also part of the Australia team, which successfully held/defended the Pacific Cup.
