School Dental Program

In the 2019-20 State Budget, the Victorian Government announced $321.9 million in funding over four years for the Smile Squad school dental program.

We have been able to access the Smile Squad School Dental program for our school.

All families who wish to use this service are asked to returned the permission forms to your child's classroom teacher by Tuesday 25th May.

Forms are available at the office.

The plan is that the van will be at our school from 2 June 2021 to 11 June 2021.

Information on the program can be found at the link below.

RAP

We will be holding a RAP action group meeting during week 9 of this term. The purpose of this meeting is to create an outline of how we will progress with the creation of our school Reconciliation Plan. During term 3 all school community members will have an opportunity to be involved in the process to create our school RAP.

Details will be available through the school newsletter in the last week of term 2.

Our KESSO worker will be supporting us with this process.

A Reconciliation Action Plan is:

"RAPs are a powerful tool for advancing reconciliation in Australia. By developing a RAP, your workplace will join a community of over 1,000 dedicated corporate, government, and civil society organisations that have formally committed to reconciliation through the RAP framework since 2006. RAPs provide a structured, nationally recognised, tried and tested model for workplaces to formalise commitments to reconciliation. RAPs help to foster a community of shared value, goals and a common language when it comes to reconciliation. Developing a RAP through Reconciliation Australia’s endorsement process provides your workplace permission to use the nationally recognised RAP logo that demonstrates compliance with the RAP framework and standards."
