Year 3 Biology

Year 3 have become fabulous biologists this term! 

In our classrooms, we are growing and observing living things; including producers, consumers and decomposers. Year 3 are observing the changes that our living things make every day, and recording these observations scientifically, using scientific diagrams and vocabulary. 

We have beans and alfalfa (producers), stick insects (consumers) and a variety of different mushrooms (decomposers) growing in our classrooms. 

By the end of this unit, students will have created life cycles, food chains, food webs and more, and all Year 3 will have a deep understanding of what it means to be a living thing.
