Short story fun

We do many things in Book Club and one of our most recent fun events was a short story competition run just for Book Club members. They were given a story title, first sentence and three words that they had to include, safe to say with titles like The Endangered Onion and The Drunk Turtle we had some very funny and inventive entries.

The winner was Violet with a twist on the title: dE dRuNk TuRtLe; read her hilarious story here.

Wondering what the symbols mean?

All our books have genres, sometimes more than one.  For example 'My Hero Academia: Smash' has 3 symbols so it falls into 3 different catagories (Manga, Hilarious & School Fun). It is easy to see where they are on situated in the library; just highlight the location (grey means the book is on loan and green means there is a copy available). As always your friendly Librarian is available to help you search for your favourites or suggest something new!
