Literacy

This week is an exciting time as the students are writing their own fairytale. From ‘Once Upon a Time’, to good guys and bad guys, we are having fun with story writing. Let’s hope for lots of Happy Endings!

Maths

This week the Maths focus is Time.  We will be looking at using language that compares and describes time, ordering daily activities and sequencing on a simple timeline and understanding that clocks are used to tell the time and that analogue and digital clocks provide the same information.

Inquiry

Our Inquiry Unit is called ‘Through Generations’ where students will focus on History and Interpersonal skills.  We will use knowledge about what has changed and what has stayed the same to prepare for the future. There is a special focus this week on controlling our impulses in different situations.

Religion

This week we are celebrating the wonder and beauty of God’s presence in people and the world around us. In this unit, we are learning more about Jesus, discovering what life in Nazareth was like at the time of Jesus and where possible make links with our own life experience.
