45S - AROUND THE TRAPS

Bridget Smith/Michael Kearton

News

A big congratulations to the children in 4/5/6 who presented their speeches around renewable energy (5 / 6 ) and participating in local volunteer organisations ( 3 / 4)  in small groups on Thursday. You all have worked so very hard in the past couple of weeks to complete these following lockdown and should be very proud of your content and delivery! Well done to those who presented their speech again on Friday to the Lions club judges. The teachers and Lions club members were blown away and you all represented the school beautifully.  See 5/6 news to find out who is continuing on to the next level.

Movie Day

The 4/5/6 children will watch a movie together to finish off the semester on Friday. A note will come home later this week asking permission for your child to watch a PG-rated movie. If you would NOT like your child to watch the movie, please sign and send the letter back.

Literacy

Students will be continuing their literacy circles over the next couple of days before break. We look forward to finishing these next term.

Maths

The children have worked well in the last week on the topic of number patterns and have demonstrated good progress in this area. To end the term with a bit of fun we will be playing some whole class fluency games - children versus teacher.

Religion

In religion, we have been learning about the Australian Catholic Church. As a class, we are constructing a timeline of events and important people involved in the development of The Church from the time of the First Fleet until the time of Federation.
