'Mindfulness at St Anthony’s is built into every day. It may take the form of mindful prayer, mindful meditation, mindful listening, mindful colouring, mindful movement or mindful brain breaks. Children learn to self regulate, to calm, to practise gratitude and to get ready to learn through mindful moments within their day. All learning spaces have mindful corners or mindful spaces for all to access when needed.'

What a year of DRAMA it has been, in the Performing Arts room, online and in life!

It was such a joy to return to school for term 4 and to be able to get the children working collaboratively again, which they enjoyed very much!

The Preps did the annual "We're Going on a Bear Hunt"

1/2's Dramatised the traditional Aboriginal Story of Tiddalick the Greedy Frog

3/4's Brought some Twisted Fairytales to life on stage

5/6's learned about Ancient Greek Theatre and dramatised some Greek Myths on stage

The last few weeks of the term in PA have been hectic but so much fun and a joy to watch.

Next year will be our production year, so all the 5/6 children will be able to audition for a main role whilst all the other children in the school will be part of a colourful and exciting ensemble. With Covid-19 still an issue, we may need to consider some changes compared to how we have done productions in the past, but whatever happens I will be working very hard to ensure that our children create something extraordinary and unforgettable.

Happy holidays to you all, stay safe and mindful.
