In praise of

'St Anthony's encourages students to be curious, creative, and critical thinkers through a teaching approach that connects the values of Catholic faith to the thoughts, feelings and actions of our students.'

Congratulations to our Graduating class of 2020

Dear Graduating Class of 2020,

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for sharing your last year with me at St Anthony’s in such a respectful and dignified way.  There is always a special connection between myself as a school leader and the Year 6 graduating class.  We share a common thread. We have journeyed together this year and we will finish together; I alongside you, you alongside me.  It’s a special connection. We embark on a new part of our journey now. St. Anthony's has prepared us both well to go forth and make an impact elsewhere.

We have embarked similar journeys. That is the journey of growth and development and change. Mine is to grow, develop and change a community and yours is to grow, develop and change yourselves in preparation for secondary school. My hopes and dreams for you are that you make an impact on the world!

What I have learned in my time with this community is to be who I am and to make it known that that is enough. Be your marvellous, whacky, incredible selves and if it doesn’t fit the mould of expectation then be marvellous, whacky and incredible anyway!!! Be a model and lead by example. Be infectious with who you are and create an aura around you that draws others in.

As you graduate from St Anthony’s school together, may you all leave with smiling faces. Never forget the happy times you’ve had, from the amazing antics of many special dress up days to knowledgeable religion discussions. From the many wonderful special lunch days and cooking together to many amazing and adventurous excursion days and camp adventures. May you remember the years of friendship, collaboration, working in teams in open spaces and the freedom it brought you. May you remember how lucky you are to have called St Anthony’s your home of learning for 7 years.

I wish you every happiness and thank you for sharing your last year with me. It has been brilliant to know you all. I am proud of each and every one of you.

Also to our House Captains, Ricky, Lan, Kolu, Angela, Jason, Krystal, Kayla and Shenella.
