From the Principal
Dear Parents,
This term is flying!!!!!!!!! Week 8 of term 4 is just about over and preparation for 2021 is well and truly underway. One of the questions I always receive around this time of year is which teacher is teaching which grade? It's the natural inquisitiveness of adults and children. Please find below the teacher placement for next year.

School Operation Guidelines
Last evening I received the updated Schools Operation Guidelines which always follows the announcement made by the Premier the Sunday prior.
What does this mean for St Bede's?
The drink taps/fountains are allowed to be turned back on
Children can play anywhere on the playground
Face to face whole school assemblies can now take place. (staff and students only)
The Yr 5/6 bike ride can occur
Graduation - (outdoor mass with students and parents)
- (dinner for students only can take place). The school hall can not accommodate students and parents using the 1 person per 4sq metre rule
End of year mass for students and teachers only
School Tours can occur
Prep transition in classes
Carols ( will be pre-recorded and a link sent to parents to view on Monday 14th ). Singing in class groups can occur outside, but we can not hold the event as children and parents combined exceed the 300 limit.
The two pick up times will still be in place for the remainder of the year.
Parents can enter the school but must register at the front office ( therefore parents are requested to remain on the footpaths as well as on the other side of the road etc when picking up)
I hope this clarifies arrangement for the remainder of the year. Any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Semester 2 Reports
Staff continue to work on the reports for this semester - quite a challenging task considering the year we have experienced as a learning community. This semester will again see a report that is different as determined by the VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority), the Victorian Department of Education and the CECV (Catholic Education Commission of Victoria). These directions are a result of the extraordinary circumstances during the semester. The use of Rubrics will return to this semester's report allowing you to see the growth your child has made.
P&F AGM
Just a reminder that our Annual General Meeting for the Parents and Friends Association will be held tonight at 7.00pm via zoom.
Have a great week
Brian
