School Fees

You would have recently received a family statement containing details of our 2021 'Essential Student Learning Items’ School Fees.

Amongst other things, this one payment covers;

· all booklist materials,

· classroom resources and materials,

· books,

· Mathletics subscription.

All government schools require an annual financial contribution to cover the cost of Essential Student Learning Items. SKiPPS chooses to purchase everything your child needs throughout the year (stationery, text books, equipment and other classroom requisites) at discounted prices. This allows us to keep school fees below what is asked by other schools and provide consistency of materials that all students can access. It is compulsory that all families make this payment.

Due to COVID-19 we were unable to spend a large part of the Essential Student Learning Items Fees charged to families in 2020. As we have been unable to attend excursions, welcome visiting incursions and programs such as gymnastics into school, each child has an amount which we were unable to spend in 2020. The school has carried forward forward this amount as a credit to reduce the fees that we will be charging in 2021.

Similarly, with the continued uncertainty around social restrictions caused by the pandemic, it is impossible to know how many of these regular school activities, excursions and external programs will be able to proceed in 2021.

We have therefore taken the decision to not seek payment for these as a part of our Essential Student Learning Items Fees in 2021.

You will notice therefore that our fees for this year will seem far lower than in previous years however, it should be noted that all activities, camps and the swimming program will be charged on a 'pay as you go basis' during the year if they are able to proceed.

We ask that parents make this fee payment via Compass and payment plan options are available for families on the site.

School Calendar

We know that staying on top of school dates and activities can be a challenge in amongst the busy lives that we all lead and it is easy to miss curriculum days, camps and other key dates.

We recommend that all parents access and download our 2021 whole-school calendar from our website  www.skipps.vic.edu.au/calendar

The calendar is the best way to easily find term dates, curriculum days, school camps and other key events.

The best part is that parents can hit 'export events' and add all of our school events to their Outlook, Google calendar or Apple iCal calendars.

Never miss a dress up day again!
