2A - Miss Meagan and Mrs Williams

Well, here we are at the end of easily the craziest year EVER! I want to officially dedicate our last newsletter article to the class of 2A. I feel so very lucky to have been your teacher this year yet I also feel pretty sad that we didn’t get to be together in the classroom very much. Each and every one of you have inspired me, made me laugh, challenged me and constantly amazed me with your resilience and enthusiasm. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making a hard year so fun and for helping me find the silver-lining in every single day. Merry Xmas 2A! Meagan

2B - Miss Bailey

2B has been getting into the Christmas spirit this week and creating their own Christmas stories, inspired by the Mr. Men and Little Miss series. Students created their own character and then planned a Christmas story about them. They are currently in the drafting and publishing stages of their writing and we can't wait to see their published stories!

2C - Mr Lewis

In Garden, the students in 2C have been learning about the importance of mulch including how it can impact the growth and health of plants. They have worked together to shovel, transport and spread the mulch around our Indigenous garden beds.

For Inquiry, students were asked to roam the classroom to find the different crystals and gems that were listed on their page. Then they needed to match the crystal to its information profile and tally specific information about the crystal including its origin and whether it was a metamorphic, igneous or sedimentary type of rock.
