Merry Christmas Monty PS!
Farewell Grade 6 Students!
We had a wonderful evening celebrating our Grade 6 graduates last Monday. We are so proud of the way these students have finished the year at Monty.
All the very best to the families that are leaving Monty PS. Thank you for your support over the years! Please stay in touch!
Farewell to the following staff:
Sarah Brush has accepted a position at Ivanhoe East Primary and Declan McCredden is moving to Aitken Hill PS. We wish them both the very best as they continue in their teaching careers. We also farewell Donna Aitkin (ESS) and Sharon Hayes (ESS) and look forward to hearing about their new adventures in 2021. Sarah and Manny Kechayas are taking leave for a year; we wish them both the very best as they pursue their "Pevan and Sarah" dreams! Best wishes to all.
Visiting the School in the Holiday Break
Please feel free to use the school grounds during the holiday period. Camp Australia will be running their holiday program and will be using the playgrounds so please keep a distance when they are using the grounds so that they may run their program undisturbed.
Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in vandalism and rubbish left by visitors to the school out of hours, which as you can imagine, is causing us great concern. If you notice anything in the yard that cannot be tidied when you are visiting, please email the school montmorency.ps@education.vic.gov.au. The bins will be left out over the holidays so hopefully these will be used. If you witness anything untoward happening on our school grounds, please call the police! Security cameras are being installed over the holiday period. Fingers crossed, we can have a drama-free break!
Tea and Tears 2021
To welcome our new Foundation 2021 parents as their children begin their first year of school, we will be holding our annual 'Tea and Tears' morning tea on Monday 1st February. We ask that all 2021 Grade 1 parents please provide a plate of something for morning tea and that everyone welcomes these new families on this special and exciting day. More info will be sent out in the first week of school.
Semester 2 Reports
Semester 2 Reports were uploaded to Compass on Tuesday afternoon. Please take the time to read your child's report and acknowledge all that your child has accomplished this year.
End of Year Reflection
There is no doubt that we have all heard enough about 2020 and all of the 'unprecedented' challenges that we have faced this year, so we do not need to dwell on it for a moment longer. I simply want to thank each and every person in our school community for coming together this year and pulling through with kindness, resilience and perseverance. We all certainly deserve to take some time to celebrate what we have been able to achieve together and spend some quality time with the ones we love.
Have a safe and truly wonderful Christmas and holiday break!
