Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the safe and positive use of digital technology. It is also a good time to explore the role we can all play in creating a better online community. This global campaign is celebrated by millions of people in 170 countries across the world. Help us make every day a Safer Internet Day.

As an eSmart school, Scoresby Primary School takes cyber safety very seriously. On Tuesday 9th February, all of the students at Scoresby Primary School celebrated Safer Internet Day. Each class started the chat about online safety to raise awareness about the safe and positive use of digital technology.

Safer Internet Day Virtual Classroom

On Thursday 11th February, students in Years 3-6 took the opportunity to become involved in a Safer Internet Day Virtual Classroom with schools from across the State to talk about how to be safe on the Internet.

The students learnt how to identify safe websites and how to detect fake news. All grades also discussed our Acceptable Use of ICT Policy to ensure a clear understanding of our expectations in a digital world.
