My Time Our Place
A lot has happened over the past two weeks! Prior to South Australia’s mini lock down the children were participating in activities that were based around Indigenous Cultures and NAIDOC. The children have spent time listening to dreamtime stories, drawing Aboriginal art symbols and using these art pieces to tell a story. This program aims to enable children to learn about their world and the world around them and to learn about different cultures and appreciate their differences.
The children have also spent time outdoors playing on the playground, going to the basketball courts and the quadrangle. Educators are open and receptive about where the children request to play and regularly venture to the sandpits and basketball courts upon children's requests.
The services OSHC kitchen is finally complete! Feel free to come inside and have a look!
September/October Vacation Care Newsletter
The September/October Vacation Care Newsletter is available from the schools website, the OSHC room and has been sent out via email.
If your child requires medication please ensure that you have provided an action plan as well as the medication (asthma pump, EpiPen etc.) to the service. It is vital that we have access to your child’s medication at our service whilst your child is attending.
As part of our sun safety policy all children are required to wear a hat if they are playing outside. Please remind your child/children to bring their hats from their classroom if they are attending the service.
A reminder to all parents and caregivers to contact the service via email at email@example.com if their child(ren) are no longer attending their sessions or have been collected early from school.
At our service we aim to cater to children’s needs as much as possible, however, if your child has specific dietary requirements or does not like the food programmed for the day please pack an alternative snack or drop off food alternatives at the service.
